Opis
The article presents examples of modern teaching techniques used in history class, which are based on different approaches. One of them is authentic learning, i.e. learning through applying knowledge in real-life or simulated contexts and situations. One good practice example is including local history in history class with the help of modern teaching techniques and ICT (augmented reality smart glasses and smartphone application for the Žiče Carthusian Monastery). The key competences from the updated secondary school history curriculum are based on the European lifelong learning competences. The good practice examples described in the article also include lifelong learning competences.
